However, bananas showed fluctuations along the period (1996 – 2004) between $2.00 and $2.50, before ending at $2.50. In contrast, the price for bananas in the USA varied much less significantly. Although the price increased from $0.80 to $1.20 in 1995, it showed steady growth until 2004 with the final price approximately $1.10 by 2004.
Regarding other countries, the price of bananas in France exhibited a stable pattern from $1.70 in 1994 and fluctuating from $1.70 in 1999, before experiencing several variations and eventually ending at $1.60 by 2004. On the other hand, Germany showed fluctuations starting from $1.50 in 1994 to $1,30 in 2001 before drastically dropping to almost $1.00 in 2004.
