The graphs present the data on books that were borrowed from different libraries over the period from June to September in 2014, as well as the proportion of genres of said books.
Overall, throughout the period the number of borrowed books rose in West Eaton and Church Mount libraries, while Ryeslip faced a decline in the demand for books. Speaking of their types, fiction was the most popular one.
When it comes to West Eaton and Church Mount, the number of books rose from 50 to 150 over the period. Ryeslip, however, showed a decline from 300 to around 170 books a month. The dynamic for Sutton Wood was unstable as the number was up to 250 in June, rose to just over 260 in July and dropped to 100 in August. Still, it skyrocketed to 300 in September.
In regard to genres, 43% of books were fiction, and the second most popular type was biography making 17%. The least borrowed genre was self-help as it accounted for only 10%. Science and history each represented 14%.
