The illustration depicts the process of using uranium for the generation of nuclear energy.
The six step process begins with the mining of uranium and ends when all of it is converted into radioactive waste. This is achieved by turning uranium into fuel pallets, which are then used in a nuclear plant until none of it can be further broken down and re-used.
The process starts with digging uranium from the earth. All of the collected uranium is then transformed into U-235 fuel pallets. The process involves crushing it into small chunks. These chunks are then transferred to a nuclear power plant where they are burned to produce electricity.
At step 4, we wait 4 years for all of the fuel to be completely replenished. It is then divided into two portions. Fuel that cannot be further used is sent to containers so that it can be buried. The other usable portion is sent to another plant where it s further broken down so that it can be further re used. This is then again sent to nuclear plant and the cycle repeats until all the fuel becomes waste.
