The first bar graph illustrates the average protein intake of people in percentage in India, East Africa, Latin America, and North America. Whereas the second graph shows average calories intake of people in these regions. Overall, North America is the highest consumer of both calories as well as protein and India consumes less calories and even less protein, when comapred to other nations.
Firstly, average protein intake in India is very less, people here consume 13% of animal protein and 15% of protein from other sources. In East Africa, plant protein intake is 16% and 15% of other protein. However in North America 62% of plant protein is taken and only 18% of other protein is consumed, which is the highest.
Secondly, average calories intake closely replicates protein intake chart. India only consumes 2000 calories on average in a day. People in Latin America eats around 2700 calories on average. In East Africa average calories consumed in a day is more than 2000. Finally, in North America average calories intake is more than 3000 calories.
