The given plans show the ground floor of a library developed originally in 2001 and how it was redeveloped in 2009.

Additional sections for different genres of books like history, fiction, self-help, kitchen, economics and law were added in 2009. The tables used in the year 2001 were smaller when compared to those used in the year 2009. Also, a portion of the floor near the children’s area was completely filled with tables, thus allowing for the accomodation of more people. The newspapers and periodicals segment was replaced with the Films and DVDs. A seperate space for children was allocated for the kids to spend their reading time there. The inclusion of computers were of a great advantage for both the users as well as the librarians. The librarian’s desk remained in the same position, in front of the entrance near the staircase.

The upgraded version of the library was found to be more spacious allowing people to make use of a variety of genres available in the recent plan.
