Dear Sir,

Hope this letter finds you well. I am writing this letter to update you that I have lost my ID card. I completely apologize for that.

The last time I saw it was when I was travelling to college last week. I think I have lost it on the bus back to the hostel. I tried to reach out to the lost and found department of the bus, but haven’t received any update till now. I am not able to enter the library or issue any book from it without my identification card. I am also not able to get any notes or documents printed out, although my friends are helping me by getting an extra copy of the notes.

Our Exam schedule is already given to us, and after 2 weeks it is going to start. I won’t be able to sit in the exam without my ID card. I request that you reissue my identification card before the examination starts. I once again apologize for the loss. I appreciate your quick attention to this issue.
