The graph illustrates the changes in birth rates of two countires China and USA between 1920 and 2000.
In the beginning of 1920, both China and USA had similar birth rate which is almost 10%. Gradually it started to increase in China by 5 more percent and in USA by 3% in 1935. China faced a major dicline in 1940 as only 5% mother gave birth to their children and this rate were the same for almost 4 years. On the other hand, USA’s birth rate started to decrease in 1945 which was 5%. Neverthless, both China and USA faced rapid growth of child birth by the end of 1945 with the rate of nearly 20%. Even though China’s birth rate seemed to get lower in 1955 and diclined to almost 8%, USA did not see any rapid change on the child birth rate. From 1970 till 2000, child birth started to get slow and stidy and in 2000 China’s birth rate fell down to only 3% and USA’s to only 7%.
