The line graph illustrates the levels of the primary types of fule which produced in the UK from 1981 to 2000.
From an overall perspective, it is clear that the figure for petroleum and Natural gas showed an upward trend, while there was a downward trend in the proportion of the level of coal.
In terms of Petroleum the level of this fuel around 85 million in 1981. After folowing years, the figure for petroleum witnessed a significant increase and reaching at 140 million in 1984. This proportion go on remain unchanged within about 4 years and then experienced a considerable decrese in 1991. In the coming years , the amount of petroleum recorded a noticebal growth and reaching at 140 million at the end of the peiod. The proportion of natural gas saw a remain unmodified from 1981 to 1990, standing at about 40 million. From 1991 onwards, the production level of natural gas witnessed an increase dramatically and hit the highest point at 100 million in 2000.
As for coal strategy, the level of this fuel at about 80 million, this figure showed no change in the next following years. However, since 1983, the amount of coal saw a downward trend and reaching the lowest point at roughly 38 million in 1984. After that, this figure witnessed a go up trend, standing at 60 million in 1986. The proprtion of coal after that go on saw a decline and standing at around 37 million in 2000.
