I hope you are doing well. I am writing about financial department’s printer failure.
This is a multi functional printer which is used to scan and print documents. We also use it to send our faxes to banks, so it is too crucial equipment in our unit.
Recently, most of the users have reported that the printer jam papers. Moreover, its scan functionality does not work properly. I tried to check it in person to solve the problem. I checked physical connections and also updated software drivers, but it did not help.
I suggest that to report this issue to the IT department to check it. As our tasks are depended to it, they should replace with temporary backup device. Another option is calling to seller company to submit support ticket.
Finally, I suggest that we should have extra device for redundancy. Because, sometime during heavy workload, colleagues should wait for a long time to finish printer tasks, before using it.
