The chart illustrates the percentage of women in poverty and the bar chart depicts the rates with respect to gender and age.
Overall, four categories of women were surveyed i.e, the single and married women with no dependent children and lastly the married and single women with dependent children. The data for these individuals was shown in the pie chart. However the classification of data based on age and sex was displayed using a bar graph.
The single women without dependent children showed the highest share of about 54%.The other half was shared amongst single women with dependent children, married women with dependent children and married women without dependent children and proportions were 26%, 12% and 8% respectively.
Turning to the bar chart, Poverty rates were significantly high for the population aged 0-5 and 18-24 with values reaching almost 20% for females in both categories, whereas for males rates remained 20% and 15% respectively. People of age group 45-54 contributed approximately 10% for both men and women.
