The figure for the 0-19 age group had declined significantly and converged with that of the 55+ group at 20 percent in 1990. Next, it is projected to fall by approximately 10 percent in 2040.
Concerning the other group, the data of the 0-19 age accounted the lowest initially at around 17 percent in 1960. However, the figure has increased, is increasing, and is projected to increase remarkably by about 25 percent for the period of seventy years. Lastly, it is predicted to rise rapidly, overtaking that of the 20-55 and becoming the largest population of the country.
