The two pie charts compares the proportion of survey results about various leisure activities (watching TV, talking with friends, eating out, talking with family, playing computer games, and other activities) of European adults in two different years, 1985 and 1995. Overall, activities spent by the European adults were dominated by watching TV in both of years, following by talking with friends in 1985 and playing computer games in 1995.
Looking more detail to the first figure, watching TV had the highest proportion in 1985, contributing 32% of the leisure activities. The second most popular activities did by the adults in this year was eating out, achieving 23%, following by talking with friends that was 2% lower. Talking with family was responsible for 18% of the activities enganged in by the adults.
In 1995, while watching TV was still dominating the trend, its proportion experienced slight decrease from 32% to 30%. Surprisingly, playing computer games became popular in this year, sharing 27%. Meanwhile, witnessed a dramatic drop, only reaching 8% which was almost three times lower than its distribution in previous decade.
