The line graph illustrates the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011, categorized by three different methods: in person, by letter/email, and by telephone.
Overall, it is clear that enquiries made in person and by telephone increased significantly, while those sent by letter or email declined steadily. By the end of the period, face-to-face enquiries had become the most common method.
At the beginning of the year, the office received around 400 enquiries in person, which was the lowest figure among the three categories. However, this number rose sharply each month, reaching about 1900 in June, making it the highest overall. Similarly, telephone enquiries started at around 900 in January, showed some fluctuation during the first three months, but then increased considerably, finishing at approximately 1600 in June.
In contrast, enquiries by letter or email followed a downward trend. Starting at about 750 in January, they gradually decreased to just under 400 by June, becoming the least popular way of contacting the office.
