The graphic illustrates the proportion of citizens by age group in a countryside who rode bicycles in 2011.
Overall, it is evident that while teenagers and children of both genders have high percentages of bicycle usage, the other age groups were low.
Turning first to the 0-9 and 10-17 age groups, the younger children were the higher users of bicycles, at 51.4 and 50.3 percent for females and males, respectively. According to the graphic, teenagers followed them, but they were less than the children, with 42.2 and 24.6 percent.
In contrast to this, the other age groups, starting with age 18 and continuing to 60+ age, rode bicycles less than the first group. The highest level of bike users were the 60+ age group in old age with 18.5% and 13.2%, while the 40-59 age group had the lowest bicycle usage. Next, the 18-39 age group had a similar fraction to the 60+ age group, but the former was at a lower level than the latter, with 17.1 and 9.7 percent.
