The diagram shows the process of making clogs, which are traditional type of shoes made from wood.
Overall, there are six steps in making clogs that consist of chopping the wood into the form of the shoes, smoothing its surface, and finally decorating it. Each step needs a special tool.
To begin with, wood from a poplar or willow tree must be cut using a saw. After that, this piece of wood has to be outlined by an axe, and at this stage, the shape of the shoes starts to form. Then, appendages are removed by knife. The last framing stage consists of drilling the inner part of the shoes with a spoon drill to make a hole that enables wearing the final product.
Once the shape is completed, the finishing step of the shoes takes place with the help of sandpaper, the inner and outer surfaces of clogs become smooth, soft, and suitable for wear. Finally, the last step is optional and can be omitted according to personal preferences, which involves decorating and coloring of the clogs.
