Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my disappointment about an incident that I faced at the baggage recovery section of the airport.
My name is Tahmina Akter, and I arrived in Houston, Texas, on the afternoon of 12th November by flight number BA143. I came from Dhaka for a business trip. My flight was via Amsterdam, where I had a four-hour halt.
After I checked in in Dhaka, I was told that I would get my baggage at Houston. When I arrived in Houston, my luggage had not arrived yet. So I immediately went to report at the ‘Lost and Found’ section. However, they told me to wait as it was lunch hour. The concerned person came after two hours, whereas lunchtime is usually one hour. Because of this inconvenience, I had to pay extra to the cab which I booked to reach my destination.
You could imagine after such a long journey it was quite difficult to wait for such a long hour. The ‘Lost and Found’ department should work round the clock. I would recommend that at least one person should always be there all the time.
Hoping for kind consideration from you!
Yours faithfully,
Tahmina Akter
