Band 7+: You visited a town last month and told your friend that you would like to meet. However, you could not make it. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter, you should: express your apology why you could not meet making arrangements to meet him.

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing this letter to express my deep apology for my absence in our appointment at Windy Town last month. I hope my thoughtlessness did not cause any inconvenience to you.

According to our appointment, we met each other on Friday 28 November at Starbuck coffee shop which is located at Nguyen Trai Street in Windy Town whenever I finished all the meetings on my business trip. We find it intriguing to have a fascinating time together. Unfortunately, I had an emergency issue which needed to be tackled on next Monday. Therefore, I had to fly back to my city quickly on that day.

I really hope that we can have another appointment. It will be a fascinating time for sharing daily life and working experience. I suggest this Public holiday next April when both of us have time. By way of an apology I would like to invite you to have dinner. There is a well-known restaurant which has the best chef in town.
