I am writing to inform you about the recent incident that occurred in your supermarket under your supervision.
My name is Sarina Shrestha, aged 24, living at 126 Dunlop Street East on the second-floor unit 2. I am working at Deafblind Ontario Services as a Social Worker.
On December 29th, my husband and I were in the Georgian Mall shopping for the New Year celebration when I was engaged in a minor accident. I had a fall from the stairs located in the centre of the mall connecting the second floor and the ground floor in front of the H&M clothing store. Unfortunately, one of the ladders in the stairs was cracked and had a hole in the middle which caught my heel and I fell forward. There were no caution signs or a notice stating the danger. Moreover, the security personnel were unaware of the risk.
I acknowledge that the maintenance of such a big establishment can be hectic. However, leaving such dangerous damage unmanaged in a property with hundreds of consumers is unacceptable. The incident could have worse outcome if a pregnant mother was involved. I recommend you do regular property assessments and tend to any threat immediately to prevent such an occurrence in the future.
