Dear sara,

I hope you are doing well, i am really very sorry, i couldnt attend your birthday party last saturday.i am genuinly looking forward to it but something unexpected came up.

unfortunately, on the day of your birthday, my cousin had a minor accident and i had rush to the hospital with my family. Thankfully, everything is fine. i couldnt leave to attend the party and i didnt inform you as the time while you were celebrating.

I know you had planned a lot. i truly regret missing the all fun.especially the cake and games you have mentioned. i promise to make it up to you.how about the meet this weekend i would love to take out for coffee and give you your birthday present in person.once again i am really sorry. hope you had a fantastic birthday!
