I hope you are doing well. I am writing to sincerely apologize for not being able to attend the charity fundraising event you organized last Friday at the company hall. I had been looking forward to it, as I know how much effort you and your team invested in making it a success.
Unfortunately, on the day of the event, I encountered an unexpected situation at home. My younger sister suddenly fell ill and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. Since no one else was available to assist her, I had no choice but to stay with her until she was stable. By the time things settled, it was already too late to join the event, and I truly regret missing such an important occasion.
Even though I could not be there in person, I still want to support your cause. I plan to make a personal donation to the charity organization you partnered with, and I would also be happy to help you with any post-event tasks, such as preparing reports or organizing follow-up activities. Please let me know how I can best contribute.
Once again, I am very sorry for my absence and hope you understand the circumstances. I look forward to hearing more about how the event went and to being part of your future initiatives.
