Dear Paul,

I hope you’re doing well and I trust you enjoyed your birthday party last weekend. I’m writing to you to apologize for missing such a great avenue to celebrate your new age.

This was due to an emergency call I recieved from my department’s team lead about a road traffic accidents with mass casualties. There was a patient who had a life-threatening panfacial fracture and needed an urgent surgery. As you know, I am the only maxillofacial surgeon in town current, I had to step in. The surgery went well and the patient is still recovering in the Intensive Care Unit.

I feel really bad to have missed your birthday because this is the second time in a role. It is quite unfortunate that this was out of my control.

To make up for this, how about we pull at the next Wizkid concert at the City Center next weekend. Last I remember, you are one Wizkid biggest fans. You are going to love it. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
