Dear Susan,
Hope you are doing great! Finally, you have gotten some time off from work. I’m so glad that you finally agreed to visit India. I cannot tell you how excited I’m to see you. Before you start packing for your trip to India, I just wanted to let you know about a few essentials that you should bring along with you.
Though it is autumn, in India it has already begun to feel like summer. I know how most Westerners like to wear tank tops in summer, but you need to bring at least half-sleeve t-shirts with you, instead of sleeveless ones. It might feel very hot for you, but not only will it protect you from sun tanning, you will blend more easily with the local crowd. You should bring plenty of cotton clothes, which would come in handy in such hot weather. Apart from clothes, keep in mind to pack all your essential medicines that are prescribed by your doctor, as finding specific brands might be challenging here.
Don’t forget to include a reliable sun blocker in your suitcase; we’ll be exploring the locales of Jaipur and Udaipur, where sun can be quiet intense. On another note, I have carefully created an itinerary of all the places we will be visiting. We will kick off our journey from New Delhi, covering all the historical monuments, then traveling southwest towards Rajasthan to Jaipur, known as the pink city, then concluding at Udaipur, enchanting city of lakes.
Just a friendly heads up about the weather, coming from a colder region you might feel the heat overwhelming at times. We will be walking extensively to appreciate the sites, which could prove challenging task in such warm weather. However, I assure you that each experience will be unforgettable and worth every effort.
Hope this helps you with packing, let me know if you have any doubts.
Best Regards,
Ab
