Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing regarding your letter in which you complained about excessive noise coming from our place because I believe you do deserve an apology.
The main reason for this nuisance was that I left my teenage boys at home alone the whole weekend and they were too keen to play music on our brand new stereo. My work schedule is far beyond busy these days and I had to attend a company conference in London which normally does not happen.
Let me assure you I am profusely sorry you had to endure loud noise coming from our house. My boys get very excited with new musical equipment but normally I am there to tame them down if that is the case. No words can express how sorry I am this has happened and I promise it will not repeat itself.
I warned Evan and Dean not to play records on full volume and given them a few tedious house chores as a punishment. Further to this, I will ensure I will not leave them alone for extended periods of time in case my job gets busy again. My father has already offered he could take care of them if I have work commitments next time.
Yours faithfully,
Pete Holzbar
