In contemporary society, only a few individuals write letters. Many find it challenging to hand-write letters and often avoid them. In my opinion, the skill of writing a letter will not vanish because numerous sectors, such as businesses, rely on email to communicate and it is a vitally important skill to learn for a future career.
One of the main reasons why people are losing the skill of writing is because thanks to the development of technology, individuals are able to text in a semi-formal way and make phone calls at anywhere and anytime or even use Artificial Intelligent to help them write. In addition, nowadays, business partners especially depend on email, which is less formal compared to the previous decades. Other forms of communication in the modern world such as text messaging have reduced our writing skills even further.
However, I firmly believe writing skills play a vital role in human life. Because there are many parts of the world that are still using formal letters to correspond in many situactions, particularly if involved in international business. Globalisation, for instance, create the business world are becoming more and more international and it is not just picking up the phone or writing a text message can make a profit for businesses. Therefore, I strongly believe letter writing will not become an exaction now or even in the future.
In conclusion, although some individuals find writing a letter challenging, I still believe it is a significant skill to learn for a future career.
