Artificial intelligence is being widely used in many industries, leading to the concern that it will replace many jobs. Although AI have replaced many workers, I believe its advantages outweigh disadvantages in providing error free work at a much faster rate.
Artificial intelligence has revolutionized industrialization in terms of providing fast and efficient work at a very less time. This technology can perform repetitive task without any delay and free from human error. Machines driven by AI can work continuously without any break. AI has provided many careers to skilled people in robotics technicians, AI engineering and skilled employment opportunity. Therefore, AI can improve economic growth while creating skilled employment opportunities.
On the other hand, Artificial Intelligence is negatively affecting humans by taking place of replacing labor. By the arrival of AI low skilled workers are losing their jobs which may lead to unemployment. This may lead to income inequality. Now people are over depending on technology. AI is also causing loss of human interaction. AI has come up with new innovations in field of technology which may cause difficulty in learning for older workers. For example, Self-checkout machines reduce the need for cashiers, automated warehouses require fewer workers. Governments may need to invest in retraining programmes so affected workers can adapt to new industries.
Although artificial intelligence may cause unemployment in some sectors, its ability to improve productivity, reduce errors, and generate new career opportunities makes it more beneficial overall. Therefore, I believe the advantages clearly outweigh the disadvantages.
