Technology and automation are upgrading rapidly on a daily basis because, in past years, a moderate increase can be seen in research and development in the field of information technology across the world. This happened due to excessive time spent on artificial intelligence. Moreover, the need for manual labor is decreasing due to advancements in automatic machines. In this essay, I will discuss why working hours should not be reduced.

Firstly, I believe that more working hours result in more advancement of technology; so, working hours should not be decreased. For instance, Japan and China are the most advanced countries in the world because the people are work-loving and spend most of their time at work. As I discussed earlier, more input results in more output; that is why they are more advanced.

Secondly, all types of work are becoming easier due to AI and robotics. Therefore, the need for manual labor is decreasing, which is quite a drawback of AI. Many people fear that robots will replace human labor in future , but I do not think that is the case because AI robots cannot make decisions on their own; they need humans to run commands.

In conclusion, the working hours of laborers should not be reduced because more investment of time at work results in more advancement of technology.
