It is often argued that many people choose their jobs based on the size of the salary offered. In my opinion, I completely disagree with the idea that money is the key consideration when deciding on a career, because I believe that other factors are equally important.
First of all, I believe that job satisfaction gives people a sense of achievement that money cannot find.
Even if a person earns a great wage, he or she will not enjoy life. In fact, pursuing one’s passions will always bring joy and a sense of fulfillment.
Many notable scholars, for example, chose their careers not because of lucrative pay, but because they were passionate about science. As a result, it’s more crucial to find a job that makes you happy rather than one that pays well.
Second of all, doing what you enjoy keeps you engaged, which leads to advancement in your job. In other words, job satisfaction and productivity are greatly linked. People who enjoy their occupations are more likely to flourish in their fields and achieve better results than those who prioritize pay. For example, my English teacher decided to quit his job and started his career as a writer. And after years, he became one of the famous and well-paid authors in Jordan. So, the benefits of occupations that keep you content outweigh the disadvantage of a low wage.
To sum up, I believe that job happiness is more important than a large wage because it motivates people and makes them happy.
