Band 7+: Airplane uses more fuel and causes more pollution than car do. In such a case non-essential air travel should be discouraged in order to make the environment better rather than limiting the car use to what extend do you agree

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is sometimes argued that air vehicles consume much more fuel than cars; therefore, we should avoid using them for unnecessary travel and use cars instead. I do not agree with this completely.

There are some advantages and disadvantages to using air vehicles. Air vehicles have helped people travel to farther places in the world, which was difficult and maybe impossible. Besides, traveling with air vehicles is more comfortable than with cars; however, they use more fuel. This is a disadvantage, but it is valuable considering the benefits they offer us. Also, our everyday increasing pollution is not only related to vehicles, and there are several different reasons, such as fossil fuel overuse by industries, a growing population, inappropriate management, and greenhouse gas emissions. So vehicles play a small role in pollution.

On the other hand, we are facing a huge demand for using air vehicles which is related to population and this can cause much more pollution in future. So, we should develop our industry and technology, which will lead to vast progress in solving this problem. For instance, the USA has recently invented a type of fully electric car, which has become popular throughout the world and can solve air pollution at a primary level. With this fortunate development, we can keep using air vehicles, but with developed versions. So, avoiding the use of cars is not a useful solution.

In conclusion, it is true that airplanes use more fuel than other transportation methods; however, there are ways that we can use them beneficially, and I believe they are vital.
