Family’s impact on children is significant; however, social influences play the most dominant role in children’s lives. From my perspective, although family’s role is undeniably important, the enormous amount of time exposing to society would be more considerable to the growth of children.
In the early stage of children’s life, children are nurtured under the hand of their family. In the majority of time, they would be under parental supervision. As a result, the juveniles would develop and adopt fundamental views and knowledge about the world. These initial views are vital as they provide a ground for the children to thrive. Moreover, most children would learn the ground skills with the assistance of family members. Children under 3 developing the ability to walk and speak under the eyes of their parents is an usual story, proving the importance of family impact on children’s lives.
However, the growth of children would benefit from outside factors rather than their family. It is mandatory for the children to go to school when they reach a certain age. At this point, most of their time would be spent on schools instead of their houses. In particular, this would result in the appearance of interpersonal relationships as the children would have more friends. Consequently, they would adopt the views of their fellows. Furthermore, under the hand of education, their perspectives would witness a significant shift.
In conclusion, despite the influences of family on the initial stage of children, social impact, specifically schools and friends, plays a more significant role in their lives.
