In the contemporary era, the way to get information has been a controversial debate. Some individuals argue that even though the number of people reading the news online is more and more increasing, newspaper still remains the most crucial source to get information for people. I strongly agree with that opinion because of the accuracy of information from newspaper and the ability to access more people.
Firstly, over many decades, newspaper commonly provide reliable information for citizens. Now, the technology is more modern and Internet can give information for people immediately, they just sit at home with an electrical device, they may easily keep pace with the globalized trend. However, the accuracy of that information is unreliable, many people can take use of Internet and give false news for others especially the news from Facebook and Tik tok. As a result, it can lead to a chaos in society and affect on the development of a country. Instead of that, the news from newspaper is always carefully checked before taken into the market, thus, it is more believable and trustworthy.
Moreover, newspaper can easily access to the majority of people, especially adults and elderly. With the development of technology, although teenagers find it easy to access more knowledge and news online, many old people would struggle with getting it. Each time they read the news online, they have to wear glasses and read small words, which is so inconvenient. Furthermore, wasting too much time to glue their eyes on electrical devices also harm their health. Consequently, getting information from newspaper would save more time and protect their health efficiently.
In conclusion, in spite of the popularity of reading the news on Internet, newspaper still have more advantages for most people. Not only can it provide reliable information but it also easily access to older generations.
