An analysis of 5G network statistics in five countries for the year 2021.
The table displayed below describes 5G network availability, average download speeds and the percentage of users in 2021 for five countries: South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Netherlands, China and the United States.
5G network availability is the highest in the USA amounting to 49.2% whereas the lowest in China with a mere 19.8%. Although the network availability is high in the USA, the average download speed is the lowest in the list, only 52.3 Mbps. This is perhaps why the percentage of 5G network mobile users is only 4% in the USA. In the case of China, the average download speed is conversely much higher, around 113.1 Mbps, and the percentage of users is 11%. Netherlands follows USA in the list with an availability of 45.1%, but an average download speed of 77.2 Mbps and the user percentage is similar to that of the US, around 4%. Next in the list is Saudi Arabia, with an availability of 35.5% but an astonishingly high download speed of 377.2 Mbps and a higher user percentage, around 17%. South Korea stands just above Saudi Arabia in the list with an availability of 43.8%, but the average download speed is slightly lower, around 354.4 Mbps, and a user percentage of 22%. From the data, it can be inferred that South Korea tops the list with a relatively higher network availability, average download speed and user percentage, whereas the USA despite its high network availability stands at the bottom due to slower average speed and lower user percentage.
