A number of university students show a desire to take other, not related to the main major, courses. However, some of them think that having side programmes can affect their overall academic results. This essay will discuss wether additional educational activities are mostly beneficial or not. In my opinion, the answer to this question really depends on the chosen faculty.
On the one hand, academic environment that universities provide is the best place to extend knowlage in general. Taking an additional course can also majorly help later in life. This can widen possible carriere choices and help to create connections in various fields. For instance a student majoring in journalism that took art classes can write a relatet column. Furthermore, students studying humanities and arts can only benefit from this approach. Those fields are ussualy related and can having an additional course can give a better understanding of the industry and againg be a great place for networking. Painters need managers as well as managers need talantes.
On the other hand, there are majors that an avarage student would struggle to combine with any additional education. For example medical and law schools seems intense enough and requier a particularly high level of concentration. Not putting enough effort into studying in this case might somply reult in disqualification.
To sum up, while combining classes seems to be benificial in most cases, there are fields demanding a non-nigoshable level of contribution and precision. In most cases having multiple subjects explored is a gret idea.
