It is often argued that technology is so advanced that we are able translate any language easily in computer. I tend to disagree with this view. I am of the opinion that it is best way to connect each other just leaning new languages.
The primary reason for my belief is the learning language is not just about translating words It’s about understanding culture and meaning, which computers often miss. As a result a computer might translate the words, but it won’t always understand the deeper meaning behind them. Another reason is that human communication includes things like tone, emotion, and body language, which computers can’t fully understand. When you learn a language, you also learn how people express their feelings and thoughts naturally. Computers can only give you the basic meaning of words, often missing the emotion behind them. For instance, if anyone had to learn languages then she or he connect to others by communicating.
In addition, some times computer makes transaction errors like Computers can make mistakes or provide awkward translations, especially with complex sentences. During fast conversations, like in markets or airports, translation apps might struggle to keep up, causing delays or confusion. Knowing the language allows you to respond quickly and naturally. In urgent situations, like asking for help or directions, there might not be time to type into a translation app.
To conclude, while computers can help with translation, learning a foreign language gives you a deeper understanding of culture, better communication skills, and strengthens your brain. It’s definitely not a waste of time!
