In today’s digital world, the debate over whether the Internet has brought about necessary changes or problems to individuals’ lives continues to be a topic of ongoing discussion. While some people criticize it as the main source of various issues, I disagree with this viewpoint due to its certain benefits.
Admittedly, the Internet has been linked to different problems, such as social media addiction and healthcare issues. Those with access to the Internet often spend excessive amounts of time on social media platforms like Telegram Messenger, Instagram, and Facebook, which dominate public attention. This can lead to obsessions with social platforms, diverting people from real life and causing eye strain due to increased usage of social media. In this regard, it is Internet that is the main influencer behind these problems.
On the other hand, when utilized effectively, the digital network serves to make people’s lives more convenient and easier. One of the primary advantages it offers is online education. Compared to traditional school education, which costs more money and time, online options save time and reduce commuting expenses, while providing unlimited access to information resources. Another significant benefit is linked to global connectivity, enabling people to connect with each other without geographical barriers. For instance, individuals working or studying abroad can interact with their family members and relatives seamlessly thanks to technological advancements. In this sense, the Internet has become an integral part of present-day life.
Overall, although some have concerns about the negative impacts of the Internet, I support the opposite view that when individuals use it wisely, it serves to improve human life.
