It is opined by some individuals that to survive in cutthroat competition and to earn a lot of money, businesses should take any step. I disagree of the following statement.
There are many reasons for why businesses should not have power to do anything that they want to do. To begin with, this will cause social imbalance. In detail, big businesses who have power and links to greater extent use that to oppress small businesses. This will make very hard for new business to survive in the market and also, this may hamper the growth of middle businesses organizations. Moreover, with the sole purpose of profit, these businesses might do illegal activities that may impact the environment for instance, businesses might exploit the natural habitats which are prohibited by the government.
In addition to it, this can cause economic difference in the society. Wealthy businesses use their network to flourish their empire, while this will make harder for the local businesses to make their spot in the market thus, this cause rich to become more rich and poor to become more poor . Furthermore, this may increase the number of scams that could happen with people for example, companies can do false advertisement of their products which can attracts a large number of consumer. In addition to it, this may make difficult to maintain harmony in the society because of too many unsatisfied consumer in society.
In conclusion, I would like it to reiterate that, it may have detrimental effects on society and economy when businesses work without any restrictions.
