Band 5+: Childhood obesity is increasing at rapid rates in developed countries. What are some of the cause of this problem? What are some ways in which childhood obesity rates can be reduced?

Health problems are always an important concern, especially the number of childhood obesity is rising all over the world, particularly in developed countries. There are many causes of obesity in child-age, however, with action we have the ability to reduce the incidence of this childhood.

First of all, from an objective existence reason, children with a family history of obesity are more likely to become obese due to genetic predisposition. Genetics can determine how and where the body stores fat. Some people may genetically store more fat in certain areas, making them more prone to obesity. Another reason showed that fast food is the main cause for obesity. In developed countries, most parents expect their children to become dominant. Therefore, children’s schedules are too dense so all of the basic demands like: eating,… have to limit time as short as they can. Convenient food became the top priority for that schedule. When they use this kind of food for the long-term, they will have obesity and other diseases.

It would not be hard to deal with this problem if people did not take action. For the first cause, admitting that obesity is genetic requires more effort than normal people. Nevertheless, it does not mean that we have no way. This kind of obesity needs experts to interfere in the process of losing weight, even in some cases having surgery. The experts will give them a reasonable diet and some exercises. The second one is that parents must try to prepare their meals from home instead of buying at the store. Preparing from home can control the fatty substance and provide the necessary nutrition for childhood growth.

In conclusion, either objective or subjective causes can be solved because our motivation and determination to follow the process plays a vital role. Most of failing to gain weight always comes from not overcoming the difficulties.
