At present, one of the most acute problems to be considered is the change in climatic conditions. This essay will analyse the underlying causes of climate change, such as carbon dioxide emissions and deforestation, and suggest remedies to combat this urgent problem.
One of the main causes of climate change is human activity that leads to greenhouse gas emissions. When fossil fuels, such as coal, oil or gas are burned, a lot of greenhouse gas, namely CO2 is released into the atmosphere. In its ordinary condition carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, which traps heat of the Sun reflected from the Earth surface, causing a greenhouse effect. However, when co2 accumulates, the greenhouse effect is increased, leading to global rising temperatures above optimal level, that is global warming. The higher the temperature rises, the more it affects weather patterns, ultimately, causing climate change. At the same time, deforestation takes place, meaning that large amounts of trees are cut down exponentially. Nonetheless, they play a crucial role in regulating Earth’s climate due to their ability to absorb carbon dioxide. Thus increased carbon dioxide emissions coupled with deforestation disrupts the usual balance of nature.
However, there are some solutions that can be proposed for the problem of climate change. Firstly, factories should switch to renewable energy sources, such as wind power or solar panels. This can not only help to cut greenhouse gas emissions, but also provide more job opportunities in green industries. Secondly, afforestation initiatives should be taken due to the fact that reforestation plays an essential role in solving this problem. By replanting forests, carbon capture could be enhanced, at the same time decreasing the carbon footprint. This needs to be supported by authorities and individuals alike in order to discourage people from cutting down trees and utilizing fossil fuels.
To conclude, such human activities as using fossil fuels and deforestation cause climate change. In contrast, there are some solutions people can undertake to prevent this problem from developing, namely, switching to ecologically friendly plants, for example, solar panels of wind power. The problem of climate change poses a serious threat to mankind, wildlife and the ecosystem of the planet. Action must be taken urgently by governments and individuals alike to overcome this issue and make Earth safer for mankind and other inhabitants.
