Climate change resulting from natural processes and human activities is one of the most severe environmental hazards dominating the global political agenda. It is widely believed that this concern can be tackled by the combination of governmental and individual efforts.

To begin with, there are two primary factors causing this environmental issue. First, the more natural processes such as forest fires, volcanic eruptions, and the decay of organic matter occur, the higher amount of greenhouse gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide, are released into the atmosphere, trapping the heat on the Earth’s surface. As this warms our planet, there might be an unprecedented rise in global temperatures, which can ultimately lead to climate change. When it comes to human-driven factors, deforestation resulting from infrastructural and agricultural expansion can reduce the Earth’s capacity to absorb harmful gases such as nitrous oxide and methane released from the combustion of fossil fuels in car engines and industrial structures through photosynthesis, further exacerbating this global concern.

As far as the solutions are concerned, it is essential for governments not only to promote energy efficiency in buildings, transportation, and businesses, but also to provide incentives for people to make and urgent shift towards green energy sources for example solar, wind, and hydroelectric power, which can go a long way in mitigating the serious repercussions of climate change. On an individual level, environmentally conscious and responsible citizens can contribute to combating this problem by encouraging others to use green modes of transportation such as walking, cycling, and carpooling when commuting to work and school as well as turning the lights and electronics when not in use and using energy efficient appliances in homes and offices.

To conclude, nature itself and human beings are considered as the major driven factors behind climate change. Overcoming this issue requires urgent attention and a multifaceted approach that encompasses practical strategies and actions that can make a big difference in terms of dealing with this environmental hazard from government officials and people as it is our responsibility as an international community to ensure an environmentally sustainable future for generations to come.
