Climate change presents a major risk to human health, resulting in various detrimental effects, including aggravating chronic illnesses, compromising food and water resources, and raising the threat of pandemics. Many believe that urgent measures are crucial to address climate change in order to defend human health. In my opinion, there appear to be limited disadvantages to immediately against climate change, and the advantages far overshadow these.

Admittedly, there are definite drawbacks to having prompt action to alleviate this problem. From a financial perspective, it takes a large amount of money to invest in environmental policies , including the adoption of clean technologies and changes in production processes. Developed countries spend millions of dollars annually on research and substitute traditional energy for renewable resources, which is impossible for developing nations. Another obvious issue is the challenge some corporations have to confront in adapting to these changes, as certain sectors may require significant retraining and new equipment for their businesses. Industry relies on fossil fuels, for example, may struggle to switch to cleaner approaches if they do not have substantial support. Consequently, pressing environmental action might cause economic stagnation, adversely affecting workers who depend on those jobs.

On the other hand, despite these aforementioned disadvantages. I believe they are outweighed by more significant advantages. To begin with, air pollution, especially in major population centers, could be reduced, leading to fewer respiratory and circulatory diseases. As a result, this can make human health better and enhance the average life expectancy. Secondly, by addressing climate change, we can limit the negative impacts of extreme weather on agriculture. Organic farming practices can be promoted, ensuring more eligible food shortages and nutritious choices . Finally, with the improvement of the environment by taking urgent solutions, all expenditures related to healthcare services will be cut down, making a healthier and more productive workforce that brings benefits to society as a whole. This reduction in healthcare costs, as a result, can allow governments to allocate more resources to other important social programs and infrastructure, building a substantial and green environment.

In conclusion, while there are some disadvantages associated with the immediate environmental action , I believe the advantages, including better health, food security and social benefits, outweigh these advantages.
