In today’s day and age,competition for university admission is increasing.In my point of view,it is a positive development as students always stay motivated and universities are able to select the most smart and dedicated students.
One of the main reasons why growing competition for getting in university is positive development is that students always do their best and do not lose their motivation in order to be selected among a large amount of people.It means that the sense of competition does not give them an opportunity to get relaxed.By knowing that universities will choose the best of the best,the applicants will work harder and work on making their portfolios more competitive.As a result,the race among students has beneficial impact on them.
Another key reason why high level of competition for a place in university is favourable development is that universities can select the most hardworking and dedicated students undoubtedly.To avoid accepting unambitious and underperforming students,universities should create a competitive environment.By doing that,admission officers will be able to distinguish the students who they are looking for from the ones who do not meet the requirements.As a result,a contest for being selected in university is a positive trend not only for students but also for universities themselves.
