Citizens of the world have access to products all over the globe which in turn makes nations more alike. I strongly feel it is a positive development since it enhances the exchange of cultures and also provides a universal experience.
To begin with, the exchange of cultures between the nations provides a sense of understanding between the countries and its people which in turn brings people closer. Since people begin to respect and value the neighboring countries more, there would be no wars being fought. For example, the relationship between Singapore and Malaysia strengthened once they started trading goods and services with each other. Other instances were between India and China, that relationship also significantly improved due to various cultural exchanges that happened over multiple decades.
In addition to this, people from underdeveloped countries get the same experience as those of developed nations due to the ability to purchase products abroad. It gives the privilege for students from poor nations to learn about cutting-edge technologies used by powerful nations. For instance, I could have never gotten my hands on the phone of my dreams, which is Google Pixel. Since that was launched only in the United States of America but now due to this development, I can live my dream.
In conclusion, development involves technology sharing which causes uniformity and cultural exchanges. Due to the above-stated reasons and experiences, I strongly feel that the ability to purchase products from anywhere in the world, is a step in the right direction.
