An increasing number of countries tend to acquire the same appearance, as people are able to purchase similar products from every corner of the world. In my opinion, this trend might lead to cultural loss and setbacks for commercial companies.
The primary concern is that it would have a negative and profound impact on cultural values. In fact, the majority of people have gradually become less willing to treat their cultural heritage with respect due to this trend. For instance, nowadays, individuals tend to purchase fashionable and contemporary items through social media platforms. Moreover, they make these purchases particularly in relation to clothing and decorative items. However, they are unwilling to prioritize their national clothing and traditional items such as handmade carpets and antique vases. Therefore, this trend might threaten the existence of certain cultures.
An additional reason for my stance is that it would trigger financial barriers for local companies. For example, people make their purchases from international platforms rather than local stores on a daily basis. As a result, the majority of local stores are not able to sell their manufactured products in the market and generate plenty of income. Therefore, they experience frequent financial crises and even bankruptcy. In addition, this trend might lead to unemployment, as people would be laid off from their positions. Accordingly, it would have a negative impact on our country’s economic condition.
In conclusion, I believe that the accessibility of products across the world encourages people to neglect their historical and national values. Moreover, it would cause social inequality and economic disparities in the field of business.
