In recent years, crime is considered as a significant issue worldwide, which many people believe is unstoppable. However, from my perspective, I completely disagree with that because from my perspective, criminal activities can be prevented.
Firstly, it is crucial to understand that crime is not an inevitable phenomenon. By addressing the root causes of criminal activities, such as poverty, unemployment, and lack of education, it is possible to reduce the occurrence of crime. Governments and organizations can implement policies and programs that focus on uplifting the living standards of communities, providing job opportunities, and promoting education. These initiatives can contribute to a decrease in criminal activities.
Secondly, the role of law enforcement and criminal justice systems is vital in preventing crime. By investing in better training, intensifying criminal justice management systems, these systems can become more efficient in preventing criminal issues. Additionally, applying stricter penalties for criminals and rehabilitation programs can act as deterrents, discouraging people from engaging in criminal activities. In Japan, for instance, when people who engage in criminal activities, the legal authorities will impose strict punishments on offenders such as facing life imprisonment or receiving a death sentence. This lessens crime levels in Japan in comparison to other countries. A well-managed legal system can significantly contribute to a reduction in crime rates.
In conclusion, I strongly disagree with the notion that nothing can be done to prevent crime in the world. By addressing the root causes, strengthening law enforcement and justice systems. It is through a combined effort that we can create a safer society for all.
