In today’s world, the number of crimes have been rising among the young people. While there are certain causes that emerge out of this, l believe certain steps can be taken in order to address this issue.
One major cause why the crime rate is increasing among the youngsters is a lack of proper guideless and attention. Children who grow up in unstable families or face neglect from their parents may turn to illegal activities such as crimes and fraud to gain attention or reduce their anger from innocent people. Another cause is, social issues such as poverty, unemployment, and exposure to violent crimes are key components leading youngsters to criminal activities. For instance, exposure to violent crimes in the neighborhood or via social media can make young people more likely to adopt aggressive behaviour or commit murder, as they begin to see such actions as normal. In addition, peer pressure and friends who engage in criminal activities can inspire youngsters to commit crime.
Regarding the solutions, one way to tackle this issue can be to raise awareness among adolescents. Firstly, teachers can contribute by creating supportive environments, promoting moral education and identifying who shows a sign of aggressive behaviour then they may make them aware of the consequences of crimes. Secondly, parents should spend the quality of time with their children, teaching them right from wrong and setting a positive example. Open communication and emotional support can make them feel more valued and less likely to engage in crime.
In conclusion, some causes lead to increase the crime rates among young people, but l believe that certain steps can be taken in order to solve this problem.
