In this contemporary society, with the rapid development of technology, various automatic cars are increasingly invented more and more in some advanced economies’ developed countries. In my opinion, this trend brings more benefits than drawbacks and the reasons will be discussed as follows.
It is important to acknowledge that driverless cars are a prominent and valuable invention for the human race. With this hustle and bustle life, robotic cars are a wise choice for people who are really busy working or studying. Hence, driverless cars can become our assistants anytime and anywhere, can pick you up and bring you to your destination whenever you want. Meanwhile, you do not need to drive or observe the traffic, just need a seat and can take advantage of that time in order to do other tasks such as projects, deadlines or simply relax by listening to music. Additionally, it also contributes significantly to protecting the environment, and due to using extreme electricity, which is an environmentally friendly means of transport, this will no longer release carbon footprint emissions into the atmosphere. Therefore, a huge issue, which is climate change, can be easily addressed. The environment increasingly becomes better day by day and people’s health can also improve and be less affected by pollution. For helping older or disabled people who have the requirement to travel or go anywhere, automatic cars are considered an appropriate option, and it can be a gradually indispensable part of their life if it helps them transform. Thus, vehicles with driver assistance systems are a great form of transport in this contemporary society.
Every coin has two sides, robotic cars are a strange and new product of market consumption. This means that people globally tend to be afraid when utilizing this type of transportation, which can bring several risks anytime, making everyone occasionally feel insecure to use automatic cars instead of using normal cars. A major concern is that the unemployment phenomenon will be gradually bombed because the number of citizens who are drivers account for a significant proportion in all careers which are picked to do to bring home the bread. With this in mind, the emergence of self-driving cars is considered a huge obstacle for certain drivers. As a result, decreasing income is an apparent fact that society will have more bad citizens who can do anything to have money in their pockets due to joblessness. Furthermore, many fields of the market will also be affected, such as service, trade, tourism, and other jobs involved in vehicles. Another point worth to remarkable is ensuring the security for people, because robotic cars are just a new transportation and the installed program, many functions and auto modes in a moderate level, not absolutely 100 percent exact and secure. Essentially, it still encounters several unexpected technical errors or another reason is driverless cars cannot properly operate in the great state when it rains. Thus, it is not easy for vehicles with automatic systems to be totally replaced by normal drivers.
In conclusion, depending on the requirement of each person that they will have the appreciate and feel with robotic cars, which are the latest in transport. From my point of view, the benefits will outweigh the drawbacks that this vehicle brings.
