Nowadays developing children’s skills is a widely debated topic with the influence on our community. My feeling is that enjoyable activities better than just reading. However, I will examine both sides of the debate.
My fundamental reason is any child always adores things which can give more fun than boring book. For instance, children can get greater information on the net or when they watching something on social media. Everyone know that teenagers might research a lot of beneficial things, such as news, subject materials, interesting videos about education, tutorials about anything. It is really helps to expand their knowledge base. This applies not only to children, but also to adults. Anyone can understand finding something on the Internet and learning from there. The reason of this circumstance they always clearly show everything step by step. Additionally, youngsters have a desire to do it themselves, as they are surprised by what they have done on the network. Moreover, spending time in a good environment with a favorite activity like surfing the net gives more comfort to a person and this aids to achieve results.
However, reading develops fundamental literacy skills, such as vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension which are essential for academic success and communication. Furthermore, reading stimulates the imagination and allows little ones to explore different worlds, characters, and scenarios, fostering creativity through mental visualization. For example, a child reading a fantasy novel may imagine the characters and settings brightly that can inspire them to create their own stories or drawing based on what they have read.
In conclusion, while enjoyable activities can indeed offer valuable experiences and skill development for children, reading remains a critical component of a child’s overall development. Enjoyable activities might provide immediate gratification and practical knowledge, but reading fosters essential literacy skills, deepens imagination, and enhances cognitive abilities. Therefore, a balanced approach that includes both enjoyable activities and regular reading can offer the most comprehensive benefits for a child’s growth and creativity.
