Owing to air travelling and telecomunication, contact between different countries are developed quickly. From my point of view, although communication and close-knit relationships with international people brought by tourism and business can lead to loss of cultural diversity and mother tongue, they provide citizens with numerous benefits such as reducing the level of wars and rebellions.
On the one hand, good relationships between countries and people may bring them negative sides of globalization such as loss of cultural diversity and local language. By way of explanation, individuals who are surrounded by foreigners and cosmopolitans can be deeply interested in other nation’s traditions and even customs, which may lead to loss of their heritages, such as mother tongue and culture. For instance, in developing countries such as Pakistan and Syria, citizens cannot speak in local language as their connections with Arabic nations are well-knit. Consequently, it means that very close relationship between different countries has several drawbacks.
On the other hand, despite demerits of this situation, there are numerous merits of globalization such as less rebellions and wars between countries. In other words, nations and people can reduce the level of wars, and live in peace if they have contact and good friendships with other countries. For example, many diplomats around the world, in most cases, sign a friendly contract in order to prevent future wars. Hence, it means that communication can lead to restful life.
In conclusion, although relationships between foreigners can have drawbacks, in my perspective, societies benefit from them.
