Education is often considered the inalienable rights by many people. Consequently, some advocate the idea that education should be acccessible to all people bu removing school fees. In my opinion, i partially agree with the idea of abolishing school tution.
If school fees were to be abolished, children coming from low-income families would have the opportunity to attend school and gain access to basic education. This policy would also be beneficial to students who want to pursue higher education by alleviating their financial constraints. By eliminating this financial burden, competent students who suffer from financial hardship could develop their talents. Those talented and prospective students could subsequently become a highly-skilled workforce.
However, this policy can also pose several threats if not handled well. Inadequate facilities is a primary concern as a large majority of schools may not be able to provide enough classrooms if a wave of new students suddenly enrolls. This sudden surge in the student population could create a chaotic situation where schools cannot afford to accept all applicants, therefore, a vast number of children may not be able to gain immediate admission.
In conclusion, while I agree that making education free at all levels is a powerful catalyst for socio-economic development and maximizing human potential, I also believe that its practical challenges cannot be overlooked. If a government fails to expand school facilities and resources beforehand, this policy could trigger infrastructure overload and compromise teaching quality. Therefore, a balanced approach where the abolition of tuition fees is carefully synchronized with educational budgeting is essential for long-term success
