Giving at least a 4-week holiday a year to increase the performance of employees has garnered significant attention in the contemporary world. I partially agree with the idea and will give the information in the following essay.
On the one hand, employees may rely on those holiday weeks to forget all about the workload. This is because they think they deserve a break after a long time of working constantly without realizing that they are losing their knowledge in their fields. For instance, before becoming a doctor, residency, practicing, and observing are a must, and they take years to complete. Therefore, a long break may increase unproductive time for getting settled back.
On the other hand, resting is like a remedy for workers, especially when they are working continuously without having a day or a week off. Therefore, having holiday weeks to rest not only play a crucial role in alleviating stress but also increase the quality of work. For example, the firm namely Google has already implemented a 4-week holiday as a way to treat their employees. Not only has it increased the company revenue but also received many good feedbacks from their own staff as they can have time for refreshing brain function, and physical strength in order to productively perform tasks.
In conclusion, 4-week holiday a year may hold drawbacks, albeit its merit. As it can decrease knowledge in some fields, and waste time, however, it still has a significant impact on relieving stress and increasing company revenue.
