A multitude of citizens more from another countries annually. I would argue the benefits and drawbacks of this notion from both perspectives- as a whole society and individual.
One of the positive sides of migration as a individual is that they have a greater chance to seek better opportunities to earn more money. For example, Australia’s average salary is twice as high compared to that of Japan. As a result, a large number of young people visit the nation to do job hunting and eventually obtain permanent visa to stay for a long time. Consequently, the host nation will be beneficial from this since the more people gain great salary, the more revenues the country’s will receive. To support their families at home, people will transfer money to help their parents, and the country can get benefit from them. Another advantage is that when people are deprived from their basic human rights, they will be safeguarded by accepting countries where humanitarian intervention is available. They have an access to safe shelter and food will be provided. With this assistance, people are offered to receive a second chance to restart their life at new country. Moreover, the country accept refugees will be highly regarded from an international society because it is of paramount importance to accept refugees as a developed nation.
On the contrary, some negative sides of moving to a different country is that individuals face difficulties financially to live their life. For instance, the U.S. cost of living is very high and often people can’t afford to pay rent. Despite their motivation to stay in that country, many people lose hope and give up their dreams. This can cause negative situation for a country because people just wasting their time, not able to gain valuable skills. As a whole society, it would be more beneficial if individuals return to their home with a useful skills so that they can contribute to our society. Finally, another drawbacks is that people no longer being interested in caring about the home. That is to say, they left their families, but as they are occupied with their own life, they don’t care them and they stop sending money. This is a serious problem to the home nation because people should be responsible for their parents. If they can’t support families financially, they would face difficulties paying medical costs. If people can’t pay the bill for their medical treatment, the government should spend a pletora of money to establish a good medical system.
In conclusion, people can have better careers and earn more money, but in contract, it’s challenging to face high cost of living. As a society, it will be beneficial to gain more revenue as citizen earn more money, but negative side of this is society being weak for making huge medical costs.
